4. Photos and Uploaded Materials

Photos and other materials submitted through the service request form are used to review and understand the nature of the request. Uploaded photos help our team prepare for the service visit and may be used to provide a preliminary assessment.

However:

  • Photos do not replace an in-person inspection.
  • Online review of submitted photos does not create a final diagnosis or final quote unless confirmed in writing by Charter Oak Chimney or the assigned service provider.
  • Chimney condition, damage, and repair needs must be evaluated on-site by a qualified technician.

5. Subcontractor / Partner Technician Authorization

Customer understands and agrees that Charter Oak Chimney may, when appropriate or when unavailable, assign, refer, dispatch, or coordinate the service request with a qualified subcontractor, partner technician, affiliated service provider, or third-party service company.

The subcontractor or partner may:

  • Contact the customer directly
  • Inspect the property
  • Provide chimney service
  • Complete the requested work

Additional provisions:

  • Subcontractors and partner technicians are responsible for their own licensing, insurance, work quality, and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Charter Oak Chimney may coordinate scheduling and communication between the customer and the assigned provider.
  • Final service terms, pricing, and scope may depend on the provider actually performing the work.

6. No Guaranteed Diagnosis from Website

All content on this website, including service descriptions, educational information, and seasonal guidance, is provided as general information only.

The actual condition of any chimney, fireplace, flue, or related component must be evaluated through an on-site inspection by a qualified technician. Photos and form submissions are not a substitute for a physical inspection.

7. Estimates and Pricing

Submitting a service request through this website does not guarantee a fixed price for any service.

Final pricing depends on:

9. Weather and Safety

Roof and chimney work may be rescheduled due to unsafe working conditions, including but not limited to:

  • Rain, snow, or ice
  • High wind
  • Steep or unsafe roof pitch
  • Unsafe access conditions
  • Other safety-related factors

Charter Oak Chimney prioritizes the safety of technicians, customers, and property. Rescheduling due to weather or safety conditions is at the discretion of the company or assigned service provider.

10. Marketing Consent

If the customer opts in to marketing communications during the service request process, Charter Oak Chimney may use the provided email address to send:

  • Promotional offers
  • Seasonal chimney care reminders
  • Service updates and announcements
  • Educational content related to chimney maintenance
